On Tuesday, December 30, 2025, Rev. Fr. Prof. Innocent Ebere Uwah, the Director of Social Communications of Ahiara Diocese, marked a major milestone in his life as he celebrated his 25 years of priestly service.
The celebration began with a Eucharistic Celebration at Christ the King Parish Mpam Owerre, with the jubilarian as the presider, with many priests as concelebrants. Delivering the homily, Rev. Fr. Kingsley Anyanwu pointed out the challenges and difficulties experienced by the priest, of which Fr. Prof. Uwah has surmounted and is celebrating his silver jubilee today. He lauded him for his great achievements and urged him to continue to be resilient in his priestly activities.
Fr. Uwah expressed great joy and gratitude to God for all the marvels he has done in his life and equally acknowledged the presence of all who travelled from far and wide to celebrate with him on the special day.
Fr. Uwah is a beacon of dedication and commitment, as the Catholic community and beyond recalled his tireless contributions to the church in the media space and academic circles. A shining example of dedication, Fr. Uwah has worn multiple hats with distinction—as the director of social communications, Ahiara Diocese, and the acting vice chancellor of Nigerian British University, Abia State. Fr. Uwah has also made lasting impacts through his words, teachings, and leadership.
A reception followed at the parish premises alongside the presentation of a collection of fifty-five essays entitled “Faith, Culture, and Cinematic Imagination,” written in his honor, making the event a memorable one for the jubilarian and all who were part of the event.
