Bishop Nwobi Blesses New Rectory at Holy Trinity Parish Egbelu Uvuru on December Twenty-Seven

Saturday, December 27, 2025, will remain a memorable day in Holy Trinity Parish, Egbelu Uvuru, as parishioners, friends, and well-wishers were filled with joy as they trooped out in their numbers to receive the bishop of the Diocese, Most Rev. Simeon Okezuo Nwobi, CMF, for the solemn blessing of the parish rectory. It will be recalled that Holy Trinity Parish, Egbelu Uvuru, was carved out from Holy Ghost Parish, Uvuru, in October 2022. One of the challenges facing the nascent parish was the building of the rectory. However, it took the combined efforts of the families of Chief/Lolo Bedewell Ehiriudu and Engr./Mrs. Peter Sunny Amaliri is to build the rectory.

During the vote of thanks, the parish priest, Fr. Toochukwu Unamba, thanked the bishop for making time amidst his tight schedule to preside over the Thanksgiving Mass and the blessing of the house. He welcomed everyone who came for the event and gave a chronicle of all those who contributed to the building of the house and prayed for God’s blessing on them and their families. The parish council, expressing their words of gratitude to the sponsors of the house, presented a gift to them while the bishop blessed them. The ceremony witnessed other activities, which included the blessing of the rectory and the rectory chapel by the bishop, a welcome song by the Mary League girls, and a cultural dance by the women.
