On Thursday, March 12, 2026, the executives of the Catholic Men Organization (CMO) in Owerri Ecclesiastical Province convened at Ahiara Diocese to hold their meeting.

The event commenced with a Holy Mass at Maria Mater Ecclesiae Cathedral, Ahiara, with Rev. Fr. Ethelbert Uwadoka as the presider and Rev. Fr. Ted Njoku, the Ahiara Diocesan CMO chaplain, as concelebrant.

Delivering the homily, Fr. Njoku encouraged the Christian fathers to ensure they discharge their duties in the Church, families, and society optimally. He once more reminded them that they are the pillars of their respective families and that they should lead lives worthy of emulation. The homilist, while reminding them to encourage members of the association, especially the lukewarm members, also urged them to remain steadfast in faith.

Noble Sir A.U. Anokwuru, the Ahiara Diocesan CMO president, in a dignified manner, welcomed their guests and thanked all present for the meeting. He emphasized the importance of unity and collaboration among CMO members in advancing the church’s mission.

Following the Eucharistic celebration was the meeting, which took place at the Ahiara Diocesan Secretariat Hall and was presided over by the provincial president of CMO, Prince Faith Uche Iwuorisha, who led discussions on the key issues affecting the activities of CMO across the province. Members deliberated on strategies to enhance spiritual growth, community service, and evangelization efforts. As the meeting concluded, participants expressed gratitude to Ahiara Diocese for hosting and looked forward to implementing resolutions to uplift the Church and society
