Friday, January 2, 2026, was a remarkable day in the life of Rev. Fr. Dr. Canice Chinyeaka Enyiaka, who marked a milestone in his life as he celebrated his 25th priestly anniversary.
The event of the day started with a Holy Mass that was presided over by the jubilarian, who, during the introduction, thanked the former Bishop of Ahiara Diocese, His Lordship, Most Rev. Dr. Victor Adibe Chikwe of blessed memory, for ordaining him and his classmates in the year 2000. He equally used the medium to thank God and welcome all present for the Mass.
Delivering the homily, Rev. Fr. Prof. Innocent Uwah, speaking on the value of the priesthood, traced the origin of orderliness in the Catholic priesthood to the creation history, where God ordered every created thing. Fr. Uwah highlighted that it is the orderliness in the Catholic priesthood that makes it so unique and spectacular. He equally congratulated the jubilarian and exhorted him to continue being the best version of himself, being relentless in his love and care for the indigent. Fr. Uwah admonished him to always look up to Christ and rely on him in moments of crisis and difficulty.
The parish priest, Rev. Fr. Anthony Ezechinyere Anyanwu, on behalf of the parish, thanked God for the gift of the priesthood to the jubilarian these past 25 years. He congratulated the jubilarian and equally used the medium to welcome all present for the celebration.
Rev. Fr. Dr. Canice Chinyeaka Enyiaka, in appreciation and special gratitude, thanked all who came to join him as he marked the 25th year of his priestly ordination. Specifically, he acknowledged the presence of the priests in the gathering. Fr. Enyiaka pleaded for their continuous prayers and cooperation.
Following the Mass was a grand celebration of 25 impactful and solid years of priestly ministry at the church compound. All who were present left with joy, and their hearts were gladdened.
