Hope Rises for Nazareth House through AHDCWO Raffle Draw

Lucky Winners Glow with Joy as Charity Initiatives Spark Renewed Vision for the Project

On Saturday, May 9, 2026, the Ahiara Diocesan Catholic Women Organization (AHDCWO) organized a raffle draw to help generate funds that will expedite their project at the Nazareth House situated at Lude, Ahiara, Ahiazu Mbaise L.G.A.

The Nazareth House is undoubtedly going to be an iconic structure in the diocese, with a massive 51-room complex housing a chapel, conference center, a hall, a dining, and several other fascinating spaces. The rationale behind this project is to establish a fame that will be a source of financial revenue to the diocese.

Jude-Thaddeus Osondu, the manager of Mater TV; the executives of the organization; and the presidents and secretaries from the various parishes in the seven deaneries within the diocese.

These charity initiatives of the leaders of the organization sparked the dissemination of the raffle draw ticket across the diocese and beyond, with the hope of getting more individuals involved so as to get encouraging results. It was equally drawn according to deaneries to ensure that many parishes benefit from the raffle draw.

It was indeed a remarkable outing that witnessed the awarding of eight (8) star prizes, such as a generator set, refrigerator, washing machine, sewing machine, Android phone, bicycle, gas cylinder, and solar fan. While consolation prizes were one hundred and sixty (168) in number, summing it up to one hundred and seventy-six (176) prizes in all.

In his remarks, Rev. Fr. Celestine Ekennia congratulated the beneficiaries from this year’s episode of the raffle draw and uplifted the minds of those who were not lucky to never relent in participating in the future outings nor be discouraged from supporting the church in any way they can. He equally appreciated the efforts and inputs of the organizers led by the president of the group and charged them to ensure that the spirit with which they are working does not lapse.
